Hays CISD has partnered with Upward Communities to create a thoughtfully designed rental housing community for its employees. Residents will have access to newly built homes, primarily single-family, offered at below-market rents in a fully turnkey, maintenance-free environment built for convenience and long-term stability.
Set across 100 acres, the community will feature a collection of thoughtfully designed one- to four-bedroom homes within a walkable, cohesive neighborhood. The master plan, designed by DPZ and Assemble + Co, emphasizes a New Urbanist framework with connected streets, activated green space, and a strong sense of place. Residents will have access to a full suite of amenities, including an outdoor pool and sundeck, children’s playground, fitness center, lounges, private event space, and a network of pocket parks and greenways woven throughout the site. The community is anchored by neighborhood retail and a central village square designed to support gatherings, events, and everyday interaction.
